Message PLEASE HELP!!This is my second Z. I bought it over the summer. It is a 90 twin turbo with just over 60k, bone stock. After 2 days of driving it, I noticed it started slipping on the highway. Not wanting to glaze the clutch, I babbied it home. After cooling down, it would no longer slip. I thought "it must be the pedal adjustment". NOPE didnt work. "Maybe there is air in the line". Bled it, bled it, bled it, and bled it some more. NO AIR or BUBBLES have developed. Still the same. Still slipping after heated up. Maybe the soft line is bad. Replaced with ss braided. Still slips! Replaced slave cylinder. Still slips. Replaced Master cylinder. Still slips. Ordered a new clutch/flywheel and all other mainteneance items with install. I took it to my mechanic. They pressure bled the system. Fine for several hours. Then slips. They installed a new master/slave cylinder, different OEM manufacturer than I did. Still slips after heating up. We concluded that it must be the clutch or leaking rear main seal. I had them do the install so as to be aware of any other signs or problems that I may not see. Put in a RPS street sport clutch, mueller lightened flywheel, new rear main seal, new bushings, new throwout bearing, etc. Inspected old clutch. Other than signs of getting hot, their was lots of life left on it. It looked great. Same with flywheel and the old rear main seal was not found to be leaking. Install went smooth. Car drove well for about a half a day then began slipping. WTF!! And yes the clutch pedal was readjusted in a multitude of different ways including as instructed by G. Dupree. Still slips! We then replaced the master cylinder/ return spring with new parts according to the TSB from nissan. STILL SLIPS!! My mechanic is the most capable and vigilant troubleshooter. He has never not been able to solve a problem like this. VERY EXPERIENCED. We want to solve the problem. What we know is this: _The clutch pedal will rise from the floor as the car heats up and then becomes rock solid at the top. _The slave cylinder rod will be found to be pushing the clutch lever in slightly which causes the clutch to slip. _The hydraulic system has built up pressure that can be released by opening the 2nd bleeder valve over the pass. wheel and it will literally shoot brake fluid several inches. _close the bleeder, the slave rod returns to normal position and the car drives beautifully for several trips before building up pressure again. (we have even tried machining down the slave rod, helps but hasnt solved. _The problem is in the hydraulic system and is temperature sensitive. _No leaks, all new parts,(re-replaced in many cases) We dont know what else to do. The vacuum assist is functioning properly as well and is not disengaging the pedal whatsoever. Ive felt the hard line for excessive heat and found it to not be hot. Barely warm at best. slave is hot but so is the transmission and oil pan next to it. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM. WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO
